Change in the transit procedure

Dear business partner,

We are informing you about an important change in the transit procedure. From 1 December 2024, the CIM consignment note will no longer function as a transit declaration. Therefore, the simplified rail transit procedure for goods/shipments under customs control will be abolished. This applies to goods originating outside the European Union.

From December 2, 2024, the regular transit procedure will be implemented. This means that before the wagon/train leaves the departure station, it will be necessary to prepare and submit a transit declaration to the customs office of departure. This declaration will accompany the shipment together with the CIM to the destination station
